By far the best way to use leftover basil! Bourbon takes a page from Sadie’s usual G&T book and pours this herby and fresh version of the classic gin and tonic.
- 4-5 leaves of basil
- ½ oz lemon juice
- 2 oz gin
- Tonic water
- In the bottom of a glass, lightly muddle the lemon juice and basil. Less is more.
- Add gin (preferably already chilled) and stir
- Fill the glass with ice and top with tonic water
- Gently stir and add a lemon twist for garnish (optional)
